It's a bit of a strange article. Initially, the Barron's story attempts to pour cold water on little old Betaville's UNCOOKED Alert but at the same time argues little old Betaville might be barking up the right tree. Talk about sitting on the fence!..

According to the WSJ, real estate investment firm Arkhouse Management and asset manager Brigade Capital submitted a $5.8 billion offer for Macy's on December 1st.

All paper 'unsolicited' takeover offers are pretty rare.
So, little old Betaville tends to sit up and take notice when one emerges, which is what happened overnight when the Wall Street Journal broke the news about Public Storage offering $129 a share for rival Life Storage.
