UNCOOKED ALERT: Naturgy Energy Group SA said to ... - Part 5

There was more follow up in the Spanish press of little old Betaville's UNCOOKED Alert about the Naturgy Energy Group takeover rumours.

This morning Expansion reported that TAQA, the Abu Dhabi-based group circling Naturgy, had hired bankers from NM Rothschild and Lazard to advice it on "was to enter Naturgy's" capital.

Then just now Naturgy's shares were suspended.

I wonder what could be going on...?..

Dutch digital security company Gemalto is being circled by a mystery buyer.

People claiming to be familiar with the matter said Gemalto is rumoured to have received a non-binding proposal conditional on due diligence although it's not clear what price the buyer is willing to pay for business.

Some people suggested the approach for Gemalto had come from French IT services group Atos...

Engie said to be working with Rothschild on potential Suez acquisition - sources

French gas utility Engie has been working with bankers at Rothschild on a potential acquisiton of Suez.

Earlier this week, Bloomberg reported that Engie is talking to certain banks about a potential $19.8 billion purchase of German renewable energy company Innogy. French reports have subsequently played down the Bloomberg report, with BFM claiming Engie has no interest in being a minority shareholder. German utility company RWE owns a 76.8pc stake in Engie...
