Word is brokers at HSBC were speculating about the possilbity of International Consolidated Airlines Group (IAG) and Wizz Air asking equity investors for fresh capital in the coming weeks or months.

Vitasoy heiress builds multi-million pound stake in Playtech...

Karen Lo has been buying a multi-million pound stake in Playtech, the online gaming software group currently at the centre of a complex three-way takeover tussle.

She is just the latest in a string of colourful characters, many of them eminating from the Far East, who have been buying shares in Playtech well above the recommended 680p a share offer from Aristocrat, an Australian gaming group...

There is talk in the market of a bear story brewing in HSBC.

Quite what the details are of the story remain to be seen. In fact, so far Betaville has failed to unearth any details or real facts despite trying from the confines of my office (also known as my flat).

Some banks, such as Credit Suisse, that had exposure to Bill Hwang's hedge fund Archegos have seen their share prices hit following losses, so perhaps this bear story is connected to that?..
