Another day, another biopharmaucetical takeover by a major pharmaceutical company.

This time it's the turn of FTSE 100-listed GlaxoSmithKline, which is paying $1.4 billion for Aiolos Bio, Inc, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing treatments for respiratory and inflammatory conditions.

Deals, Deals, Deals ... in a bear market - Part 45

New deals are being announced on a daily basis at the moment, with the pharmaceutical sector one of the most buoyant for dealmaking.

The latest deal is GlaxoSmithKline's takeover of Canadian biopharmaceutical company Bellus Health for $14.75 a share or around £1.6 billion.

That price is double Bellus Health's closing price of $7.26!
