Pro-European City types cook up new British advocacy group / political party - part 3

Political blog Guido Fawkes is this afternoon carrying a tale about how Anna Soubry, the pro European Tory MP for Broxstowe, could be willing to join a new pro-European centrist political party with Lib Dem and Labour remainers. Here is the link:

This sounds eerily similar to stories I have come across over the last six months about a bunch of pro-European City types looking to form a new pro-European advocacy group / political party. Here are the links to my previous tales:

In fact, the last time I was checking this story out the spin from the spinmeisters was that these remainers were looking to form a new advocacy group.

I guess the spin turned out to be correct - the new advocacy group, Open Britain, was formed and financial PR supremo Mr Roland Rudd was installed as chairman.

At the time of Open Britain's creation Anna Soubry came out as vocal supporter of the pressure group. Now, the feisty Tory MP is talking about joining a new pro-European, centrist political party, according to Guido Fawkes. I wonder whether there is connection?
