The Times City diary skewers Deutsche Bank

I see Dom Walsh, a top hack, has made a decent attempt to skewer embattled Deutsche Bank in today's business diary column over Tom Cooper's "mysterious" decision to quite the financial institution.

Indeed, in today's column - https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/strange-silence-at-deutsche-on-the-question-of-cooper-7hftvcz5q - Dom asks Deutsche Bank about whether Mr Cooper, who is/was one of London's top M&A bankers, has a new job and is met with a terse "no comment" from the firm's PR.

Well, I'm reliably informed Mr Cooper, well-known for his airline deals, doesn't have a new job lined up in investment banking and is quite likely to pursue a career doing something completely different.

In the short term, though, I understand following the Lions on tour in New Zealand this summer is a tempting proposition for Mr Cooper.....
